Baby and First Year Sessions 

Not much can compare with the profoundly special time of welcoming a new baby into your world, whether it is your first born or the arrival that helps your family to grow. Within the bubble of excitement and adjustment of these earliest days, we all wish we could press the pause button!

 I offer relaxed in-home lifestyle sessions using the beauty of natural light, documenting those early days of connection as a new family. I like to keep things natural and simple to create timeless heirloom images to be treasured. The session can be tailored to your needs and of course to follow those of your little one, allowing time for feeding, changing and settling.

N.B.The best time to photography newborn arrivals is within their first 14 days for those sleepy baby shots, or within those first 4 weeks whilst all those brand new baby features can be captured, babies change quickly in these early days! Booking your session in the weeks following a 20 week scan is recommended. Dates can then be moved nearer the time to accommodate an early or late arrival.

 

A little further along baby's journey, a milestone shoot is another wonderful way to record and celebrate those 'First Year' months, recording candid, relaxed moments as they move through babyhood into their toddler years. The ideal time is from around 6 months when they are sitting up and becoming even more engaged with the world around them. This session can be undertaken at home, outside in a place you love to be, or in a relaxed 'studio' style set up as a '1st birthday' theme. The main objective as always, is to create a relaxed and comfortable setting in which your little one is free to be themselves, capturing their emerging personality within natural, meaningful photo memories.
